Sporades Islands

Itinerary

A combination of verdant green hills, sapphire blue waters and sandy beaches
along with ideal sailing conditions and unspoiled anchorages.

Kavala Limenaria

Day One

Starting from our base, the first stop we suggest is Limenaria port, in West Thasos, 20 nautical miles from Kavala. In Limenaria you can find water, many shops and taverns all around the port. You can start the trip right after the check in, or the morning after.

Kyra Panagia

DAY TWO

Sailing to Sporades, the first island to meet is Kyra Panagia. An uninhabited island, with two bays for anchoring and swimming, Planitis bay and Agios Petros. Both bays are protected from the winds and are ideal for overnight stay and swimming.

Alonissos

DAY THREE

The next island to visit is Alonissos. The capital is Chora, a picturesque village in the mainland, while Patitiri is the main port, 14 nautical miles southwest of Kyra Panagia. Other places for sailing yachts are Votsi (mostly staying in anchor), Steni Vala (a small dock) and Gerakas, a protected small pier in northern Alonissos.

Skopelos

DAY FOUR

West of Alonissos, 8 nautical miles, is Skopelos. Skopelos’ main port is also the capital and you can find water and electricity. Other ports on the west side of the island are Neo Klima and Loutraki. Skopelos offers beautiful bays for swimming and anchoring such as Stafilos, Agnontas, Limnonari and Panormos.

Skiathos

DAY FIVE

Last Island of Northern Sporades is Skiathos. The main port is 15 nm west of Skopelos. Water and electricity can be found and must be avoided during weekends. Places for swimming are Koukounaries , Platanias bay and Tsougria island.

Sporades to Kavala

DAY SIX

Skiathos is pretty far from Limenaria (100 nautical miles) so we usually suggest visiting Sporades islands, during a two weeks charter. Otherwise, it's better to sail up to Skopelos so you have enough time to sail back to Kavala.
