Itinerary

An ideal route for novice sailors, or for sailors who just want to relax without covering longer distances. This island has many options for anchoring and swimming, diving, and offers emerald water all around it.

KAVALA

DAY ONE

Located 160 kilometers east of Thessaloniki, Kavala stands in a very strategic location in Northen Greece. The city has its own airport, 27 kilometers from our base, with flight connections all around Europe. The port is also accessible by car through the new highways that connect Greece with the Balkan countries. Sailors can find a local market every Saturday right next to the base, a supermarket, bus and taxi station! Sailors can stay the first night in Kavala or sail to Thasos Island!

LIMENAS

DAY TWO

The capital of Thasos, Limenas, 19 nautical miles from Kavala, has a huge port where sailors can alongside. Limenas has many taverns around the port, supermarket, ancient ruins, museum and many bars all around. The best part of this area are the beaches and the bays, with the crystal blue waters and lush greenery that reaches the sea.

GOLDEN BEACH

DAY THREE

On the third day, sailors can explore the eastern part of the island, Marble beach, Vathi beach, Koinira island, and weather permitting, anchoring overnight in Golden Beach.

ALIKI BAY

DAY FOUR

Sailing southern, sailors will reach some unique places such as the Monastery of Archangel and Giola Lagoon. For overnight stay, we suggest Aliki bay, one of the most beautiful anchorages of the island.

LIMENARIA

DAY FIVE

5 miles west, there is Limenaria , the newer port and the second biggest town of Thasos, where you can find water and many taverns all around, as long as the famous “loukouma” sweets.

MARIES

DAY SIX

There are plenty of anchorages around Limenaria, ideal for swimming, diving, exrploring and sailing. A few miles far, there is a small dock in Skala Marion village. It’s an ideal place to alongside and have lunch in the taverns of the village.

THASOS TO KAVALA

DAY SEVEN

The last day of this route, sailors can explore the bay of Kavala. Snakes island, Iraklitsa, Peramos, Red Rocks, Ammolofoi, are only a few options for swimming and anchoring.
